You draw a candlestick chart, and that chart becomes your coin's first stretch of trading history. Then the market takes over.

What doodlpad is

It's a launchpad. This site launches on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663): every coin gets its own Uniswap v4 pool with its own hook, and the hook keeps everyone but the painter out of the pool while the drawing is played out. The Solana devnet build is not available on the hosted site.

How a drawing turns into price history

Nobody can trade the coin at first except one address, the painter. The painter makes real swaps in the pool, one candle per interval, aiming each swap at the open, high, low and close you drew. So the chart people see is made of actual trades, on chain, with timestamps.

You pick the interval when you set up the launch, and it sets how long the paint runs.

  • 1 minute per candle: the dependable choice. A wick takes several trades inside one candle, and a minute leaves room for them.
  • 1 second per candle: not available yet.

The painter pays no fee while it works. Once the last candle is in, the pool opens to everyone and the painter has no say in where the price goes after that.

Drawing one

  1. Hit Create and pick Draw your own. If you'd rather describe it in words, pick Prompt your chart and an agent draws one for you.
  2. Pick a chopping tool: flat, slant, freehand or curve. Then pick what you're chopping, candles or wicks.
  3. Carve the block down until it looks right. Left and right mouse buttons do opposite jobs, and the hint under the canvas tells you which is which.
  4. Drag the trim handles so only the part you want gets launched, then press Continue.
  5. Fill in the coin, choose how long the launch runs and press Confirm. On Robinhood Chain that gets you a price, not a launch. Pay it from your wallet and the launch starts.

The top of the canvas is the market cap you set, $1,000,000 unless you change it. The bottom of your drawing sits at the launch floor, a $3,000 market cap.

Fees

Every swap after launch pays 1.25%, split three ways. It's taken from what the swap works out to after the pool has done its math, so the fee itself doesn't move the price.

Goes toShare of each swap
The coin's creator0.50%
The contributor vault0.35%
The platform0.40%
Total1.25%

The split is the same for every coin, and the creator always gets the 0.50%. There is no setting for it. The vault pays out to the people who funded doodlpad early. Its cut is converted into the pool's quote asset before it's sent. The pool itself has no LP fee.

What the creator controls

You pick the name, the symbol, a description, the logo, your links and the quote asset the coin trades against. The logo is your drawing unless you upload one, up to 256 KB.

The quote asset comes from a list the factory holds on chain. Right now that is WETH, USDG and four tokenized stocks: AAPL, TSLA, NVDA and SPY. The form reads the list from the factory and greys out any asset that has no price set yet, so you can't pick one that would fail. Prices are set on chain and change, so check the form for the current one.

Your cut is 0.50% of every swap on your coin, the same for every coin. It is written into the pool when the coin launches, and after that nobody can change it, not you and not us.

Launch day

Confirm gets you a quote, not a launch. The quote covers the gas for every candle plus a platform margin, and the price in ETH is shown before you pay. It holds for 30 minutes. Pay it from the wallet you connected, and the launch starts once the payment confirms on chain. Nothing launches before that.

Then the coin is deployed with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 and its pool opens at the $3,000 floor. The painter works through your candles, one per interval, and you can watch the count go up on the same screen.

When the drawing is finished, the platform adds the rest of the supply to the pool as liquidity and trading opens. From there it's a normal market.

The factory deploys each coin and opens its pool. The hook is the one every pool uses. The painter is the only address that can trade while a drawing plays out.
